What Is a GicléE?
The term giclée (pronounced ZHE-CLAY) is a French word meaning "to spray." The term is used in the printmaking industry to refer to a print that has been made through an inkjet process, whereby the ink is sprayed onto a substrate creating a final output image. Giclée prints offer several advantages over prints made by other, more traditional printmaking methods:
They use high-quality fine-art papers and canvas
Flexibility of size, as the original piece of art is professionally photographed or scanned first, offering high resolution, richness, detail, and depth that set them apart from traditional offset lithography
100% archival inks
Unlike lithographs and serigraphs, giclée prints have undergone extensive, third party fade testing. Accelerated light fading tests predict a display life of over 100 years before noticeable fading occurs
Ordering GicléEs
All of Donna's original paintings are available as two different types of giclée prints:

We recommend this type of giclée to be matted and framed behind glass for a stunning display
Printed on Canvas
We recommend this type of giclée be framed without glass or a matte
